After looking a picture of the DT100. It's the headphones I remember using in school. Except the color of the ear cups were white. Not sure if these are the cans you are looking for.

They might have been Beyer Dynamic. I am sorry I didn't remember the exact model #. I remember using a headphone like you said. When I was in college. Sorry I don't have more information.

Poocaso, I have 1 more question about the Fiio X3 DAP. Is it necessary to upgrade the firmware for this player for it to work? I am afraid I might brick it during the upgrade. Thanks Earl

I have had mine for about a year. I love them.  If you get a good seal it really helps with the bass. Built quality is great.  You could spend more and get a lot less. Just my 2 cents.
