Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
I tried the Jitterbug with Mojo and I didn't like it at all, it made the sound glassy and brittle so I let it go.- JulienS

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Yes, and I find the difference between filters to be more discernible when using optical. Edit: Of course, this also has to do with the transport I am using: for USB I am using a notebook, while for optical I am using a streamer.- JulienS

Tried them all. The USB being the worst and the optical one being the most acceptable among them.- JulienS

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Just for the record, I am using the Hugo 2 in my main hi-fi system, I am not using it with cans, so using crossfeed is not an option. Although my main DAC is a Metrum Acoustics R2R NOS DAC, I also extensively used the Mojo, which I really like, so I am somewhat familiar with the Chord sound at...- JulienS

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
No. After a few days of testing, I see the Hugo 2 rather as a surgical device, than as a musical device. Too much is just too much.- JulienS

Chord Electronics - Hugo 2 - The Official Thread
Is there a break-in period necessary for Hugo 2? While detail resolution/detail level is really astounding, I find a certain lack of musicality a bit disturbing, at least compared to Mojo...- JulienS

How to stop USB noise in my DAC from my Laptop (mac)
I have the same problem, noise through all the USB outputs into my DAC. I noticed that happens only when the notebook is connected to the mains. When it is on battery, all the USBs are totally silent. Any ideas how to solve this? Thanx- JulienS

For me, the Jitterbug totally killed the sound, it made it bright, with a digital glare, bleah!- JulienS

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
I am more and more fascinated by Mojo each day. By its sound and design. Can we say „the Cult of Mojo”?.... I have compared it for weeks with several DACs, some of them even two or almost three times the price. They all seemed, more or less, variations of the same. Mojo is just different. What I...- JulienS

Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆
I bought a second Mojo, because I love it so much and I said to have a spare one, just in case. Anyway, I noticed some really strange behaviour with this one: whenever I turn off a light somewhere in the house, the playing stops! The software continues to play, the Mojo stays on, it's just that...- JulienS

I do. I am using a portable power bank to charge it. But I charge the Mojo only when not listening to it, because it gets disturbingly too hot if you charge it while listening.- JulienS

I dont know if this was talked about before: how is the DSD treated inside Mojo? Is it converted to PCM before analog or directly to analog?- JulienS

Regarding my question above for connecting the Mojo by coaxial cable to a streamer, can somebody please confirm that the cable in the picture will work? Or are there too many rings on the 3,5 mm end?- JulienS

These are both mono, me thinks....The cable recommended by DjBobby above is the one I want, but they don't ship to my country, unfortunately. However, it baffles me that Chord didn't see fit to include such a cable or at least an adapter in their "Mojo mega-package"...- JulienS

Can't believe that not even Chord in their "special Mojo cables package" don't provide a coaxial cable or at least a 3,5 mm adapter to connect the Mojo by coaxial....Can't find a proper cable for it.- JulienS

Show us your Sony ES collection.
It's strange that not even Sony seem to know what ES stands for. I used to blame people for referring to as Esprit to their Sony ES as there were only a few true Esprits in the 80s, but I recently saw some Sony catalogues from mid 90s with Sony clearly stating Esprit near their ES gear. This...- JulienS
