The second half of iFi audio's new ZEN Air Range: ZEN Air CAN and ZEN Air Phono!

I almost ordered the Zen air Can, but noticed that the regular Zen Can ships with an iPower PSU and the Air does not. Adding an iPower to the Air makes it almost the same price, but you miss out on balanced construction, better parts, better design, better shielding/casing etc. Seems like a poor...

    Bose QC35 Wireless Noise-Cancelling Headphones

Hi, I'm finding the voice prompts or alternative "tones" to loud and it hurts my ears. Has anyone found a eay of disabeling both or at least turning their volume down? This will be deal breaker for me if not unfortunately. I have hyperacousis and tinitus, so my loud might not be yours :-)

HRT MicroStreamer vs. Meridian Explorer... help me choose ?

Fnrst ask your dealer to check. Otherwise write Meridian support with your serial. They'll be able to tell you

HRT MicroStreamer vs. Meridian Explorer... help me choose ?

I did however much prefer the microstreamer to the 1. generation DragonFly, which i found very artificial and hard sounding (oh those leading edges)

HRT MicroStreamer vs. Meridian Explorer... help me choose ?

I've confirmed that I have the 2. revision of the Explorer. Again the microstreamer did bot stand a chance. i'm even debating if the explorer beats my Rega DAC in my main system..

    PSB M4U 2

Hi,   Just wanted to say that I tried the PSB's with the Dragon Fly, microStreamer and the Meridian Explorer.   While all were fine, it was the Explorer that stood out and stole my heart. I don't know what revision I have of the Explorer (the OHM thing), but it's likely the second...

HRT MicroStreamer vs. Meridian Explorer... help me choose ?

I had both. I prefered the Explorer with both my b&w 805 speaker based system and with my PSB M4U 2 headphones, in active and passive modes. I don't know if i have the first or second revison of the Explorer, but I got it directly from Meridian just before they announced the 2. Revision. I...

    PSB M4U 2

Good for you, just move on and have fun :-) I just auditioned an Aune T1, which did not work at all well with the PSB's (for my tastes). A workmate tried it with his brighter and leaner sounding Shures and it was a match made in heaven.

    PSB M4U 2

@ bort99   I moved to these from Sen HD-380's and found the PSB's to be a little dull/bass heavy. With some use I've found the PSB's to be much better voiced and balanced and listening to my HD-380's, the PSB's make these a little sound bright and non natural. This might be part brain shift...

AudioQuest Dragonfly Review : Affordable, Outstanding, Tiny DAC / Amp

Quote:   I tried this with a hub, no change. Still substantially lowered output at SBT max volume.  So don't think this will work, unless you are running directly into an amp and already have too much gain in your system.   Cheers

AudioQuest Dragonfly Review : Affordable, Outstanding, Tiny DAC / Amp

Btw. I'm also getting very low fequency hum, when connected to one of my computers. Is anyone else experiencing this?

AudioQuest Dragonfly Review : Affordable, Outstanding, Tiny DAC / Amp

Hi,   I currently have the dragonfly on trial. I've tried hooking it up to my Squeezebox Touch, using Triode's Digital Output option. I was hoping for the touch being able to control the volume of the Dragonfly, but this does not seem to happen. This is how I figure it to be so:   * Full...

    PSB M4U 2

@JimBob   I had pops & cracks and to my shame realized that it must be the combination of my abundant ear hair and the M4U's! Try walking with the can's in passive mode and not connected to anything.. Or maybe that's not your issues really :-)

    PSB M4U 2

Budget is around $250. I currently have the uDac1, but it does not work with my work machine (pops and crackle) and I'm not crazy about the sound.

    PSB M4U 2

Can any one recommend a desktop amp/dac (in one or two units) for use with the m4u's? They are great but if anything I miss a bit of sparkle up top, a more communicative midrange and the bass can be a litltle overpowering. I considered the dragonfly, but I'm afraid it will not be a good match..

    PSB M4U 2

So I guess I've just answered my own question. Without listening to the phones again, I left them playing for two nights and to my ears, this made quite a difference. They have opened up. Now it could be the ears, mood, blod sugar/caffene levels or just expectation (or whatever messes with your...

    PSB M4U 2

Hi People,   So how much do these open up over time? I've just received the headphones and I'm quite concerned with how they sound. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to try before buy and I don't really want to use them much, in case I have to try and get a refund.   Right now they...

    Upgrade from udac(1) with PSB's

Hi,   I'm picking up my PSB mu4 2's (what an awful name) today and I'm looking at upgrading my table top usb DAC/AMP. I'd like it to be a substantial upgrade (semi at least). My financial limit is the $249 dragonfly, which I considered, but I'd prefer a physical volume control and I'd also...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Nuforce uDAC USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out

About the channel inbalance, I only experience it at the lower end of the scale, like with any other pot I've tried. The thing is that with the uDac it gets "much later in the day" before the tracking is right (Around 9'o clock), compared to other audio equipment I've used - hifi and pro audio...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: Nuforce uDAC USB DAC AMP with line out and S/PDIF out

Finally got my uDac today! While it sounds very nice out of the box, I will wait with any impressions. I'm noticing quite severe channel imbalance in the lower end of the volume control. I have to go all the way to 9'o clock to avoid this.. Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder if I got...
