Hi, I'm finding the voice prompts or alternative "tones" to loud and it hurts my ears. Has anyone found a eay of disabeling both or at least turning their volume down? This will be deal breaker for me if not unfortunately. I have hyperacousis and tinitus, so my loud might not be yours :-)

I did however much prefer the microstreamer to the 1. generation DragonFly, which i found very artificial and hard sounding (oh those leading edges)

Good for you, just move on and have fun :-) I just auditioned an Aune T1, which did not work at all well with the PSB's (for my tastes). A workmate tried it with his brighter and leaner sounding Shures and it was a match made in heaven.

@ bort99   I moved to these from Sen HD-380's and found the PSB's to be a little dull/bass heavy. With some use I've found the PSB's to be much better voiced and balanced and listening to my HD-380's, the PSB's make these a little sound bright and non natural. This might be part brain shift...

@JimBob   I had pops & cracks and to my shame realized that it must be the combination of my abundant ear hair and the M4U's! Try walking with the can's in passive mode and not connected to anything.. Or maybe that's not your issues really :-)

Budget is around $250. I currently have the uDac1, but it does not work with my work machine (pops and crackle) and I'm not crazy about the sound.

About the channel inbalance, I only experience it at the lower end of the scale, like with any other pot I've tried. The thing is that with the uDac it gets "much later in the day" before the tracking is right (Around 9'o clock), compared to other audio equipment I've used - hifi and pro audio...
