I need recommendations for a player/transport to be used with my Vega/Taurus mkii stack. Max I want to spend is 1,500.00

I am in the process of purchasing the HifiMan HE-6. I would like recomendations on a good speaker amp around $1k. I am looking at the vintage Threshold SA/4e and 4000. If any HE-6 owners have their preference that would be great also. Thanks in advance.   Brian

I am really enjoying my Balanced GS1000 with 325 bowl pad and IPod classic>CLAS>DB2>SR-71B. I have been listening to Dave Matthews and Alter Bridge. Sounds very good to my ears. I was not enjoying the headphone with the stock bowls.

How well will the RSA SR71-B work with Grado GS1000's. The music i listen to mostly is Hard Rock and Metal. I have searched the forum and i am seeing only people using tube amps. Any info would be greatly appreciated.   BTW: this forum is GREAT!   Thanks in advance,     Brian
