I lost my ie80s! What now?

Hey folks. 4 years ago I purchased IE80 IEMs. They're great. Too bad I lost them. Looking for a replacement ~$250. I can get a pair for $200 (used in Canada) but am into changing it up if the market has changed. One issue I regularly run into is them getting clogged with ear wax (yuck!). I...

    New: Sunrise Sw-Xcape Ver 2

I bought these about a month ago..   To be honest, after upgrading from RE2's I wasn't particularly impressed. I did about 40 hours of burn in and I do agree with a very clear and textured sound, but the soundstage and bass was not good at all.  They are not a fun IEM to listen to. I was...

    Indestructible open headphones for snowboarding?

Music is just a part of snowboarding I enjoy, and my iem's isolate to much..       earbuds are nice, but under a toque, they do isolate at most volumes.. also, they fall out a lot...     I was really looking for some big cans. Basically I'm thinking isolation shouldn't matter with...

RE2 + iPod Classic 6th gen headphone detection?

With my iPod Classic 80GB (5.5 gen I believe?) if the cord is wiggled on my RE2's the song pauses.   I blame this on the headphone detection on my iPod, but sadly there is no way to turn it off...     Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    Indestructible open headphones for snowboarding?

like seriously under $40   I prefer cans because they look cool, and people will know I'm listening to music so i can't 100% hear them   also, a wide headband is preferable

    Indestructible open headphones for snowboarding?

I'm an amature snowboarder, and because of that, fall a lot.   I was wondering if there were any open - design (So I can hear others talking) cheap, pretty much indestructible headphones I can buy.   Any ideas?   Thanks,   Dylan   EDIT:   I'd like to note that they'll be...

Portable headphone amp to headphone price ratio

I don't really have any other equipment to be honest, still a newb to this. $100 is my budget for headphones as I will be getting them as a gift. The amp can be around $40 max..?       I've been doing some research in the head-fi forums and have found many headphones that meet a few of...

Portable headphone amp to headphone price ratio

I'm looking at getting some decent $100 starter cans, potentially with an amp. What's a good ratio to be looking at for spending on an amp? I'm thinking the options may be a little more expensive than what would be reasonable, but I'm not totally sure.   Any help is appreciated!  ...

Alternative to iPod with video support

I've been doing a lot of research on the S:Flo2 and it does meet all of my requirements, except the firmware is junk, supposedly. It apparently has many issues with the touch screen being to responsive, the shuffle feature sucks, the song listing and organization is bad, etc. J3 looks...

Alternative to iPod with video support

Sorry, I didn't mean mp4, I don't know why I said that :S Any is fine, I'll be converting to whatever format is acceptable. Also I only need about 40GB or so, thats why a 32GB and an 8GB SD card would be wicked, but I can go as low as 8GB internal memory if needed. It has to be small...
