For me it’s:- 1) 660S (just) 2) 650 3) 580 Precision 4) 600 Haven’t yet heard the S2, but at the moment I’m still impressed (in a neutral and natural way) with the NDH 30.

Sample variation exists with the NDH 30 as much as it does with any other headphone that I’ve heard more than one of. They are the same headphone, but as with all headphones noticeable sample variation is common.

Looking closely at the picture of the new BE the pad velour looks the same as on both of my silver ones, so perhaps they changed the velour material at some point?

Easy and safe to do with the metal construction of the headband! The ONLY thing I could criticise the NHD series for is weight, but in return you get superb and pretty much bomb proof build quality.

Ah sorry - forgot that you'd modded the silver one. Great that The BE hits the spot again, and fits better as well. Win win!

Do you hear any difference between the two? I know they are identical apart from the colour, but I mean small sample variation differences.

I actually like the original, but having two already and the NDH 20 in black it would be hard for me to justify buying a black NDH 30! And the silver goes well with my headphone amp! 😉
