Balanced Beta 22 amplifier repair help? I Need mine repaired...Again!

If you manage to get it repaired again, ask to change the output resistors to 1ohm or 2.2ohm, like Ti Kan advises on his website. It should prevent this problem in the future.

Where are the Gods of DIY?

Ti Kan has recently announced his new reference dac, the Gamma 3. It's not ready yet but the analog output stage is already being tested and everything is looking really good. New Marantz SA-8004

What about the CEC CD3800? Has anyone listened to it?   USB input is limited to 16/48 but has balanced analog outputs and it's only $899 on audiocubes 2.   I'm trying to decide between the two but it's really hard without reviews and I can't try them anywhere near me.

Would you prefer a 'detachable' cable or a 'permanent' cable?

It would be awesome if all headphones had detachable cables with a standard plug!   You could have just one cable of each type for all your headphones like 1/8", 1/4", balanced etc etc   And would be much easier to storage or hang all your headphones without cables!
