I recommend Mini^3 and Meier Corda HeadSix, which both are sold more than $100 as new, but can find used for $80-100 in For Sale forum.

Get a DIYed mini^3. I currently own E7 and D2+, and had owned Total BitHead, but all of three can't compete with mini^3 regarding sound amplifying and tuning. Though D2+ and Total BitHead have advantage of UBS DAC if you want to use with PC.

There must be somewhere in iTune option that you can set output device to USB DAC. I have to set this way in foobar to listen music through my D2+.

Why? My feeling is that HD595 needs controlled base, simple base boosting may make it sound muddy otherwise. Agree on AD827 for improving base, but would recommend use AD797 as G/V for better control. No buffers needed For HD595.

The picture of inside circuit is misleading, which actually shows LD MKI+ using two metal package LM49710HA op-amps. What they sell on eBay is LD MKI as borrego said single LM4562NA instead.

If you don't mind of DIY, mini3 seems a good one from my experience using it with Fuze and PK2. There is Chinese clone mini3 DIY assembly kit on eBay for about $60. You probably need a line-out cable for the setup. Linearrosa W1 may be also worth of trying, which is $85 in Amazon and ranks...

Thanks guys for comments. It doesn't really bother me that much. But all my other portable amps are completely cut off when being turned off, so I am wondering why it's not such case in HeadSix.
