From what I've read the EF2 is a great hybrid amp and at $169 it is a steal. Check out the thread on it here.

I'd say go with punkaroo's advice and go with a hybrid like a Millet Minimax or another hybrid amp. It gives you the synergy Grado's have with solid state amps and also allows you to tailor the sound to your liking by rolling different tubes. I'm currently running HF2's out of a Head Direct EF1...
