Sounding killer with my jotunheim

This is about spot on, I'm new to all of this. Its not as "tubey" as you can get from what I hear, but just doing A/B testing you can still hear a difference which is good. I like the Jot on balanced cable for TV/Movies and all the dance music I listen to, as well as most rap. Any alternative...

Wow glad I stumbled into here. I recently got back into audio gear since I got a new workspace at home. In the last few months I've purchased HD650s, Jot w/Dac and have a Valhalla 2 coming tomorrow... or today I suppose. I might have to make the drive out from the burbs for this.

I listen to a lot of prog house, trance, deep house, techno etc on my HD650 which I recently got and love them for it. I use a Jot w/DAC module and they power them great and add a nice lower end. I have a pair of HD25ii that I DJ with and while they obviously have a little more punch to them...

Welp just ordered one of these to go with my Jot w/Dac.

HD650 is my only headphone right now. All of this speculation is in the future and I'm just enjoying reading about it all right now.

I might save for a WA3 over the Valhalla/lyr2, and then a bifrost multibit

Its a ways down the line and I have a lot of reading to do, thanks for the suggestions though, I'll write them down and look back at them when the time comes.

I recently got a Jot w/Dac and HD650, I also got in on the MassDrop Hifiman 4xx for my first planars.... was thinking about the Valhalla 2 down the line also. Let me know how you like it all if you go down a similar path.

Been using the Jot all day for different genres and even a little gaming. I love this thing with the 650s. Night and day difference from just out of my laptop. Eventually I'll "upgrade"? to the Bifrost Multibit for a DAC, but for now i love it as-is. If I were to get one of Schiits tube amps...

Anyone use the saga tube preamp with the Jot to give it a little tube sound?

OMG these 650s sound fantastic just out of my laptop. Can't wait to see what the amp does to them tomorrow, and again when my cable arrives.

not yet I just ordered it all, I plan on getting some from impact audio cables once I decide on a length.

yup I shot a message over to schiit before I ordered, I'll put the monitors on their own power strip or on a wifi switch. I plan on ordering a cable from Impact Audio Cables as well. Any of you guys using the built in DAC on the Jot with one of their tube amps as well?

I ordered a jot and 650s a few days ago. Very excited to try it all out.
