I looked into this price increase and yes chord have increased their prices, coming into effect in September. I found a company that had posted the feb 2020 price list and the new sept 2021 list so I could compare. I don't know what country your in but in the UK the Qutest went up by £55 to...- jcoops16

ATH-W1000X Thread!
I lusted after the W1000x for many years until I got a pair cheap as their were being phased out and at first I was disappointed in them as I expected so much more. My first impression was that they didnt have that much bass for a closed back, but reading this thread I learnt that you have to...- jcoops16

I haven't needed to change my pads yet but people replace them with the leather pads from the W5000 which are still in production. I've been toying with the idea of getting a pair because their suppose to be comfier.- jcoops16

ATH-W1000X Thread!
As a bit of an experiment I've spent the last half hour or so listening to them through the HP out of a 10 year old Denon A/V amp, trying different genres from pop - Taylor Swift, Sia then moved up a gear to Slipknot, Queens of the stone age then EDM - Leftfield. The source is the Caiman which...- jcoops16

Best System Synergy For CHORD MOJO (and possibly Hugo) - AMP/SPEAKERS/HEADPHONES
I've been using the adapter that came with my AKG's but last night the weight of the one piece adapter was giving me terrible trouble, it sounded really odd, no vocals loud guitars. So I ordered the grado adapter.- jcoops16

I accidentally sat on mine in the dark and snapped that screw. I went to a hardware store and picked up a countersunk screw (So once fitted its flush with hanger and doesn't foul ear cup) and two nuts so they lock together. I didnt take the cup off the hanger. The screw, with a little force will...- jcoops16

Best System Synergy For CHORD MOJO (and possibly Hugo) - AMP/SPEAKERS/HEADPHONES
Is the DAC not bypassed? Yeah I like the RS3's for their side firing bass ports, meaning I can push them up close to the wall and not have them booming. Just found someone selling AVI adm 9.1's for £400 about an hour away from me, now that is tempting.- jcoops16

To be fair to you I didnt think you were joking. My volume ones are loose whilst the power ball is more stiffer to move. The casing is cast and so are the plastic ball, as more and more are made, due to wear of the moulds they should be a looser fit.- jcoops16

Is this something you can implement in a future update? as UAPP is the only app/media player that I cant stop running. Force Closing the app makes it unusable afterwards until I restart my phone.- jcoops16

I have for awhile now really fancied getting either a Rega Brio-R or Elex-R with their RS3 speakers but since I have the mojo now I have been thinking maybe active speakers. Been reading reviews on the Dali Zensor 1AX, sounds like it could match the mojo nicely. Also further up the chain theres...- jcoops16

USB Audio Player PRO (UAPP): 24- and 32-bit playback, ubiquitous USB audio support for Android
Using UAPP on a nexus 5X I cant stop UAPP from running in the background, not music but the app. I cant swipe it away in the notification bar, with bubble running aswell I have to click that and it expands slightly to reveal a arrow pointing right, hit that and its gone. Doing this with UAPP...- jcoops16
