Etymotic HF3 compatibility
I don't think they are defective because they work fine when plugged in to my laptop, but it's just on my phone that they sound distant and muted.- PocketSharks

Etymotic HF3 compatibility
Just ordered the adaptor. I tried to find a UK store that sold the same thing but i didn't find one so i will just wait for international postage. Also i've discovered that if i insert the headphone jack 2/3 of the way instead of the whole way, it works much better.- PocketSharks

Etymotic HF3 compatibility
Thanks a lot for the link, tinyman. I just read the description and it seems that my problem is exactly that, it sounds muted, so it might work with this. I'll give it a try! Thanks again.- PocketSharks

Etymotic HF3 compatibility
Hey, I bought the HF3 a few days ago and didn't realise they were specifically made for iphones/ipods. I have a samsung galaxy s. When I first put them on in the tube, I noticed that they sounded very distant and muted. Last night I was experimenting, and I found that when I press and hold...- PocketSharks

IEM for travelling - London tube / trains / aeroplanes
Thanks for the advice ! I ended up getting the HF3 today, which are the same as the HS5 but also with a microphone so i can use it in calls. They sound great. They are my first IEMs so i don't think I inserted them properly the first time, as the isolation wasn't great. I just tried the foam...- PocketSharks

IEM for travelling - London tube / trains / aeroplanes
Well Etymotic do some custom tips for the HF5 which are good value. Sleek customs are pretty expensive though. I'm tending towards the HF5 for the moment, they seem to have the best isolation, at a very good price.- PocketSharks

IEM for travelling - London tube / trains / aeroplanes
Hi guys, I am looking for a pair of IEMs with great sound isolation and decent sound quality. I listen to mainly rock, reggae, classical, and some acoustic guitar. I'm starting to have some 24bit/96khz music in my library so detailed IEMs would be nice. My budget is around £300 ( 500$ ). ...- PocketSharks

Leather ear pad for Ultrasone PRO 900s...
I'm thinking of getting some leather pads for my new Pro 900s too. Does it improve the sound leakage ? I find that they leak a bit too much for my liking. Also, which pads are more suitable. Beyer or denon J$ ? Looking at pictures the Beyer pads look much better in my opinion, but...- PocketSharks

High quality headphones but slightly portable?
Hi guys, i am new here. I recently purchased some Ultrasone Pro 900s after reading around this forum, and I really love the spacious sound and amazing bass. However, they are bigger than i thought, and leak quite a lot of sound. I was hoping to wear them 'on the street' but I don't...- PocketSharks

Decent budget cable for Sennheiser HD 25-1 II ?
Actually, just copper cables, because they are cheaper and more sturdy, and still seem to have good reviews. Around the £50 mark maybe ? -
Decent budget cable for Sennheiser HD 25-1 II ?
Hi, i just bought a second hand pair of these, and like them a lot, but am wondering if there are any silver/copper cables which are compatible which would improve the sound. I have seen a few around, but they are all around the £150 mark, which is double what i paid for my headphones, so would...- PocketSharks
