THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO
In the bass range, it was realised several years ago that certain harmonics give the listener the impression of a powerful low bass without the fundamental being transmitted at a sufficient level. The human hearing system (human brain) calculates this fundamental wave itself. This effect was...- FritzS

AXEL GRELL HEADPHONE
I was allowed to listen to the K1000 on loan for a few months. Detto also Mysphere in various stages of development and with different pad versions. In principle, headphones are and remain headphones and cannot provide the free sound field of a loudspeaker reproduction - nor can they provide the...- FritzS

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Now I switched back and forth between balanced and analytic pads several times. With analytic pads, Camille Bertault's voice seems to be a touch clearer. The dull rumble of the grand piano, played by David Helbock, doesn't seem to lose much, is rather clearer. With balanced pads, DT1990 moves in...- FritzS

Beyerdynamic DT 1990 PRO - Beyer's open-back mastering headphone
Playground by David Helbock & Camille Bertault - with analytic pads the low rumble of the piano is not as voluminous as with balanced pads. The overall sound with analytic pads is closer to the Composer, which has an almost straight frequency response from the mid to the low bass region...- FritzS

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)
Is the extra cost of Amiron on T1 worth it? There is currently a special offer on the T1, but Amiron Home € 499,- / T1 € 799,- And I would still have AKG K812 and Austrian.Audio Composer in the Upper Class available. But they have different frequency responses. As far as the DT1990 Beyer Peak...- FritzS

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)
I own a DT1990 and listen with balanced pads. What is really the difference between DT1990, Amiron, T1? DT1990 balanced pads are nearest to Harman Target Which listening experience have you with this three headphones? Judging by the frequency response alone, the DT1990 with balanced pads...- FritzS

AKG's new K872?
No! I owned the K872, K812 is audibly better, Composer outperforms both of them. Composer has more bass depth, very good mids, no noticeable sibilants. The only K812 feels like it has a slightly wider stage. Over all and from a purely musical point of view, I even like the DT1990 better than...- FritzS

AKG K812 Pro
Written together from various listening sessions - this is my personal feeling and opinion and not an absolute judgment! Composer - Frequency response mids and bass almost straight. The bass goes far down, powerful, very dry sounding. Clear mids, fine definition. Treble without sibilants...- FritzS

AKG K812 Pro
€ 1.177 :flag_at: https://www.thomann.de/at/akg_k_812.htm Mine is an early bird made by AKG in Vienna - and I almost wanted to sell it, but I'm still keeping it. Recently compared K812, DT1990, Composer. Mounted a mesh from the K872 on K812 pads, own 2 sets of pads. Unfortunately, the edges...- FritzS

THE COMPOSER OPEN BACK FLAGSHIP by AUSTRIAN AUDIO
Without knowing the Grado - difference like between day and night? :relaxed: But that's not meant to be a judgement. :beerchug: The DT1990 is probably closer to the Composer (I know the difference) than Grado?- FritzS
