Best open can for under $150?
I currently use the HD598 for gaming/music, i mostly listen to hip-hop. I absolutely love them, they are way more comfortable to wear than my M50's (lighter, less pressure, nicer pads). The gaming is truly superb and while the bass isn't as present as the M50's the detail is great and the...- awberke

My personal impressions on Meelec A151
I second the fact that the multi-flanged tips are very large and were slightly uncomfortable for me to wear. I also found the earbuds themselves quite comfortable though. Its strange for me, one earbud always fits better in my ear canal than the other, just goes to show i'm not exactly symmetrical.- awberke

New earphones for bass head
I second the Denon AH-C710, they have solid bass that i found to be perfect for hip hop. You're not going to get the kind of bass achievable with large drivers, but you can't really expect that.- awberke

Denon AH-C710
I have had two sets of Denons, the 710 and the ones a price step below them, i can't remember the name. What i love about denon is the quality of the ear-buds themselves. They use quality materials like aluminum and they just feel so sturdy. I also find the sound too be perfect to my type of...- awberke

IEM's not securely fitting. Recommendation for tips?
After trying out a free pair of comply (gray foam) tips, i found that my ear buds stayed in my ears soooo much better. The extra friction keeps them in your ears and actually creates a better seal with your ear canal as well, improving the sound of the iem.- awberke

IEMs vs. closed headphones
i would go for closed full size headphones, they just feel so much purer. If you don't need to move with them at all, you really gain a lot of bass that just isn't really possible with low-mid range ear-buds. And no matter what people tell you, ear buds will always become uncomfortable after a...- awberke

Ad700 or Hd555 or other?
Just something to think about, dealing with the M-50's that i haven't heard mentioned too much around here. After a significant amount of listening >2 hours, the M-50's pushed on the part of my jaw that connects to my head and made my jaw really sore. I even have a small head too.- awberke

ATH-AD700 vs HD598's
This is exactly the issue i'm running into, i'm trying to find a gaming headphone that will also be acceptable for other uses. From what i can gather the senns are more comfortable and form-fitting but are significantly more expensive.- awberke

Could use a hand ~$200 closed phones.
The only thing i can add to this thread is that the ATH-m50 are extremely comfortable and i can wear them for hours. It should be noted that i do not have a large head but the ear cushions and headband are both very comfortable. I am a newbie to the headphone scene but i do not consider the m50s...- awberke

Denon C551K disassembly
I recently had the left 'bud go out on my Denon C551K's and i know it is due to a short inside the housing. I was going to try and open it up so i could solder the connection back in place but i don't know how to get the darn thing open. Anyone have any advice? Is it glued and just requires...- awberke
