In this price range and size, I found the to be the most comfortable. I haven't tried the M50 on, but I can tell you against the hd380s I tried in store for an extended period, I still liked the DNA, as it fit my ear better without getting overly hot.  I can also attest to it...

Well it is only from the left that that this has occurred from, the right side plug seems fine. 

I am still within the return period, so no need to use the warranty, yet. 

I like the bass of the M80 better personally, but I am keeping the DNA over the M80 as I aforementioned because of the better comfort.    So on another note the DNA sound went out from the left speaker for me today. I unplug the cable from the headphones and plug it in and it is working...

I would say a little of both actually, thought a bit more mind blowing on the it's a Monster product side. Hell I compared it to the M-80 and thought this could really hold it's own against it SQ wise.

Seriously the DNA really are mind blowing for something with the Monster name, and are priced fairly at $200. They even sound better than the $350 Beats my friend has. Plus the DNA is built better than the Solo HD and Executives my friends own. 

So, to update people, I returned the M-80 and Aviators, and plan to keep the DNA, as it's comfort level tip the scale. The sound on the M-80, as I said before, had a more natural bass, which I preferred, but the DNA had more power(lively-ness) at the same volume level. The Aviators, even after...

I am told the LP2 bass level is in between the LP and M80, while mids are suppose to about the same. Not full sure about highs or lows though. I would say go to RadioShack if there is one near you and try both on(the one near my had the M80 on the floor to try, and both LP and LP2 to buy, but I...

Minus the subjective looks I am told the Diamond Tears are suppose to sound really good(even vs the DNA). 

Really I find the padding to be a bit thin, and narrow, which takes away from the comfort. Anyway to change that, or I am forced to return them in favor of the DNAs I am comparing them too.

I went to 3 of them, all they had on display was the DNA, and the Inspirations(one of them had both active and passive models on display). None of them were willing to display the Vektr, or let me at least try it out without buying it. :+(

No I am pretty sure for me it is the pads that are the issue as they are a tad small for my ears.

Unless I the M-80s can be modded for more comfort I think I am going to keep the DNA as they sound very good(as other have mentioned). That and because I can listen to music for hours without it getting uncomfortable like the M-80 can. After more burning in the bass has cleaned up a bit...

I tried the non-phone cable and that seemed t fix it, as I tried again the phone cable and it's working normally(and I know it was seated in correctly), I think. Maybe I am just imagining it?

Lucky you.     So, far after another 10 hours of burning in, they bass may have calmed down a bit on the DNA. Now, I am burning the M-80 to see how that turns out, but comfort I wish still was better.      Edit: it seems like with my DNA, and even lesser extent with the M-80 the left...
