I bought a backup pair from Gearbest on Sept 9, so thought I should weigh in with another data point, particularly since mine are real. They match metalicblue's real pair photos and sound just as good as my daily pair. Sorry for those who got fakes.- whatthefunk

Why would 1 tube fire up very brightly when 1st turned on?
I have a pair of NOS tubes in which only 1 of the tubes does this. When i first turn the amp on it flares up very brightly near the bottom of the tube for about 1 second... after that initial burst and once warmed up it sounds fine. Is this indicative of a faulty tube? Is it safe to continue...- whatthefunk
