After a week of near constant use, the ATH-M50 no longer cause any symptoms whatsoever, so I guess it was just a matter of getting used to them. I sincerely appreciate all the input from all you guys. Thanks!!!!

I haven't tried open phones. The ATH-M50's are my first pair of headphones apart from IEM's. I'll give it a few days and see what happens, then, yes, I will get it checked
