Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
I do think they work. However, you will need to get a socket saver or riser to get them fit, as the base has a bigger diameter, at least on the Shuguang. I think there are posts about this earlier in the thread.- Cheesebaron

Is there no good microphone solution for existing headphones?
I guess the vmoda boom pro is out of the question as well with the Samson's, as they don't have a detachable cable. The SR850, if anything like the Superlux HD681 or the other models such as the evos, then they are a pretty good bang for the buck. You might want to get some more comfortable...- Cheesebaron

Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
Swapped the fans for Noctua R8's and put a couple of fan filters on :) Can barely hear them spin. One other thing, has any of you found a better volume knob? The plastic one feels very cheap. Also do you think it would be possible to fit a stepped attenuator in the amp? I am thinking...- Cheesebaron

Little Dot MK VI / Little Dot MK VIII SE Owners Unite
I recently bought a used Little Dot MK VI+, which I am using with a pair of JVC DX1000. Sounds really great, but only when listening through the balanced output. Yeah, I get the famous humm noise through the SE output. I am driving it through an Audio-gd 10.32 through the balanced outputs...- Cheesebaron

DIY Cable Gallery!!
Do any of you know if it is possible to get something like the VALabs XLR connector just with a nice deep red wooden finish instead? I've been searching the web the entire evening and can't seem to find any.- Cheesebaron

My Little Dot MKII sounds quiet compared to my Fiio E12 for my HD650.
Adjust the gain, there are some switches inside of the amp.- Cheesebaron

= Hifiman Regrilling Mod =
Just regrilled my HE-400, took a bit of work to get nice and working with nylon stockings is annoying, but here is a pic of the pair of grills I've made: I noticed in the store where I bought the stockings. There is a big difference in thickness of the material and some brands mark it...- Cheesebaron

HiFiMan HE-300 Coming Soon!
Just if anyone are curious. The right driver on a, what I think is first revision, HE-300 started rattling and shipping to China to get the driver replaced costs more than a new pair of HE-300. So I decided to crack open the headphones and see what is hiding in its belly. To get the driver out...- Cheesebaron

audio technica ath-a900x or ath-esw9a?
I haven't tried the a900x, but I am a happy owner of a pair of esw9. One thing you should notice is that the hinges on the esw9 are a bit fragile, which happened with mine and were epoxy glued back together. Soundwise I am really happy about them, however they might sound dark to some people...- Cheesebaron

BeyerDynamic owners unite...
I just bought some DT-880 '05, and they are great. My previous headphones are Sennheiser's HD555 and I can really hear the difference between those two. The DT-880 are more detailed and it is easier to hear the different sounds in the music, it is nice! I also just ordered a Meier CORDA SWING...- Cheesebaron

What are the most comfortable headphones available?
I have some Sennheiser HD555 and some Beyerdynamic DT-880 2005 edition and both are VERY comfortable. I've had some other headphones before and these are the best I have tried. I can wear them for hours without any irritation or what so ever.- Cheesebaron

Tinny sound from line-in, why?
Might just be how the soundcard is built. Probably not enough amplification for your headphones. I don't think it is bad for the headphones though, you don't really strain them in any way.- Cheesebaron
