(Official) Sennheiser HD 630 VB Australian tour thread

first off, I'd like to thank White Lotus and Sennheisser Australia for giving us the opportunity to demo these for a few weeks My appologies for the delay in the impressions - been a rought couple of weeks. Build: -solid, smooth edges - Metal (steel headband, alu cups?) +pleather headband +...

FLC Technology FLC8 and FLC8s Impressions Thread

finally got my FLC8s from Shenzhen audio. Probably regret getting one in red instead of blue. Looks a bit cheap-ish. that said i still very much stand by the great value hybrid sound. Enhanced sub-bass, somewhat enhanced mids and mostly linear treble (same as balanced but enhanced mids) - Red...

T-PEOS Altone350 impressions and Australian review tour thread.

well this went a bit quiet. they're still rather good if you buy a pair for about 250 if you can find one. (but it's a bit suspect after how good Altone 200 was, but you do get a removable cable and mic ). Although I don't know if I get one over FLC8s (I have to EQ both. Altone as 4.5db@50hz...

regarding the build quality, the demo unit shell split last nov didn't bother sending it back like i did with h300 , just had a friend glue it with quality glue. He seemed to think there's little wonder the on polished titanium glue join is not bulletproof

Jays q-JAYS Reference earphones (2nd generation) Impressions Thread

thanks H20. I'll have to pass on a review for the same reasons as well. I listen at med-high volumes (on the go) and the treble issues are severely accentuated for me as per above. Likewise, the lack of bass compared to hybrids and or at low volumes mean I have even less to like here. I know...

Jays q-JAYS Reference earphones (2nd generation) Impressions Thread

: Well, as expected, I find these unlistenable. I still have a lot of high frequency hearing left, and the 7 to 10k Highs tuning is extremely harsh to my ear. It's not easily removable with eq unless I make the dip very wide and deep . Clip zip q=0.7 f=7700,db=-5 plus auditory fatigue reduction...

btw there are a few features that might not be reflected in the docs. e.g. new DSP effects http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/MajorChanges DONE 2015-01-19: New DSP effects: perceptual base enhancement, fatigue reduction and Haas effect surround sound ^ they're the new menu options under Sound...

what's the problem there? initialize the database, update it (from settings, general, database) , and then browse it (from main menu -> database (instead of files)). That supports browsing by all tag fields . at least common ones (artist, genre, album, etc) and searching those fields...

i had a quick look at the user guide for the Sansa rockbox build and it looks like there's a way to play music while charging. http://www.rockbox.org/wiki/SansaFAQ seems to work for me. 'center button' is play/pause not menu for X3.

thanks Mark. can you do a rough (estimated) plot of the sub-bass vs bass vs mid -bass vs 1k as an estimate, or can Campfire audio link us to one? how are the mids detail and relative amount compared to FLC8s?

you don't really need to pass through usb storage to it. copying the rockbox folder can be done under win10 booting x3 to stock firmware. you can also pass the X3 rockbox bat file and drivers via a shared folder or just downloading them from the XP machine. your choice. I just happened to pass...

=) any chance you can write up a guide with some pics so we can reuse it for other users. these are all fair questions and it looks like the manual might be missing some use cases (common task workflows if you like). If not i might start a page with some common questions linking to the posts in...

keep in mind there's more than one playlist. The current playlist (aka dynamic playlist) is what rockbox uses to manage the playback queue. It's what gets added to or overwritten depending on how you add files or folders to it (basically any action that references the dynamic or current...

Bob A (SD) there's kind of no playlists main menu anymore. just Playlists in context menu (hold play pause) or Playlist catalogue in the main menu. I'm confused about the manual referring to options that may have moved (I doubt it's build specific) you can still navigate to a folder e.g. above...

np it's more than a reasonable question . happy to share .
