I've got a 2009 WRX, but it's being a pain. The medieval stereo system isn't helping.

Too many apps to count... Pandora, facebook for starters. I've kinda given up on buying iphone apps though and moved to mostly iPad ones.

Skipped landlines, cable and buying DVDs, replacing it with netflix and free streaming (abc.com, etc). Haven't missed it a bit.

I used to ride a GSX-R600. Loved it, but now with kids and living in TX with its crazy drivers made me give up on it. Maybe one of these days i'll get back to it though.

17" MBP with 2.9GHz C2D. It's getting a bit dated though.

I like them quite a lot actually. They work very well plugged straight into my macbook, and sound much better compared to the Shures i had before. Not really a valid comparison there, as the Shure's are in-ear, but still. Compared to the HD580s, they work much better without an amp, and deliver...

Thanks for all the suggestions. I ended up finding a good deal on a pair of Grado RS-2i's on eBay. I really like them so far, they bass is definitely punchier than my friends Sennheiser HD580's, but the headphones don't sound muddled the way my Shures do. Overall i'm quite fond of them...

I'd love to get the GS-1000, but they are considerably out of my price range. Based on the comments i've received so far i think it's a tossup between the Grados and the 600s, leaning mildly to the grados. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Well, not leaking a whole lot would be nice, but i'm more concerned about the sound quality than leaking. Any idea how the Denons sound compared to the Grados?

1Time, more concerned about leaking out, but it's not a huge factor overall. Besides, based on the reviews of the D2000 that i've read here, it leaks out quite badly anyway.

Sorry for the confusion Jay, i meant i was sorely disappointed with the Shures after trying the HD580's. As for replacing cables, things happen. I managed to destroy cables of all kinds of things, and buying a brand new set of headphones is a bit steep as a solution.

I would mostly use it with a MacBook Pro, possibly infrequent use with an iPhone. The budget is for the headphones, i don't want to overly complicate my setup just yet. Thanks for the warm welcome and surprising swift replies.
