I'm curious if anyone has found the specifications for the amp in the new Rio Riot MP3 player.

This is a subjective review. I found the sound from the Sony D-25S/Sony MDR-V6 (with Beyerdynamic 250 replacement pads) combination to be superior to AKG 501's powered by a Onkyo CD player and Onkyo amp (headphone jack). However, I don't feel the Sony D-25S has enough power to drive the AKG...

Got mine today...excellent and does not skip. I listen to music fairly loud and position 5 is plenty loud for Sony V-6 headphones. Can't wait till later at home when I have a chance to test using my AKG 501's!

Awhile back in this thread, JML mentioned using a small hunk of vinyl wire covering as a means to prevent the Radio Shack adapter from being inserted too far into the Sony power input. I rummaged around the garage and found that a Size 00 flat neoprene faucet washer slipped over the prong works...
