Monster Turbine durability question
The biggest problem with the Turbines is definitely the cable / the jack. I've owed the MTs for a few years now and I've gone through at least 5+ RMAs with Monster (their customer service is great though; I get my replacement with 2 - 3 weeks after dropping it off at their HQ). Even with the...- dC0m

Klipsch in 2010
When I was checking out the Klipsch Image One's specs I was hoping it would be noise canceling.. but it turns out from this thread that they're noise isolating. I think I'm going to give them an audition (if I can find them in stores) soon. On a side note, I'm looking forward to the S5i...- dC0m

wat iemz are gud? $170 or less
I have the original Turbines and they're definitely good for the bass lover. My only complaint is the build quality as the cable is a bit too thin and the overall construction is subpar to average. I had to RMA it 5 - 6 times but then again I'm a student who tends to go harsh on his phones. The...- dC0m

Monster sound with better isolation?
I also have the original Monster Turbine and I love the sound. I think the sound isolation is awesome, if not perfect since it blocks out most outside noises but not all (for your safety). Perhaps trying new tips?- dC0m

DR DRE STUDIO BEATS . GOOD OR NOT?
When I first tried these @ Best Buy, I thought they were alright in terms of comfort and SQ. After much more testing, I found the comfort to hurt since they felt like they were squeezing my head. Sound wise, I felt the harshness and the overbloated sound. Then I saw the price, and I couldn't...- dC0m

WHAT ARE THE BEST CANS FOR BASS? (in rap songs used just with my ipod)
+1 for the XB500. I own a pair and I'm a fellow bass-head. While it's not as intimate as my bass-heavy, Monster Turbine IEMs, the XB500 bass is definitely there. For $50, you can't complain.- dC0m

Had enough of Monster Turbines, need help moving on..
It's been a good while since I last posted on this forum. I'm not a complete n00b to IEMs but it's been some time since I was knowledgeable in this field. Here's my situation: I bought my 2nd IEM (Monster Turbines) through recommendations here at HF. The first couple months went swell as...- dC0m

Help choosing new headphones
If these are intended for home use, and you need bass (trance and hip hop), try looking into the Sony XB500 or XB700 for extreme comfort and lots of bass. Plus, they only cost around $50 - $80 shipped, depending on model.- dC0m

Anyone use the new MDR-XB line of headphones yet?
I currently own the XB500. I needed some cans with good bass without hurting my wallet. I got them online for $50 shipped and I can assure you, they're well worth it. LOTS of bass, but not overpowering. SUPER comfortable pads, but they are large and makes you stand out if you're wearing them in...- dC0m

Monster Turbine Appreciation Thread
I use my MT as my daily portable. I usually wear it whenever I'm on the bus or when I'm not busy during my day. I'm not tugging on it and stuff but sometimes it does get caught in random places and that tugs on the wire a bit. I also wear it under my shirt and leave the connector and source...- dC0m

Kind of off topic but kind of not
Go to your nearest pharmacy or bit retailer store and look for some earwax cleaner/dissolver. It should come in a liquid form and you drop it into your ear for like 5 - 10 minutes to let it dissolve the earwax. After it dissolves, take some water and rinse out the remaining cleaner. Your...- dC0m

New Monster IEM's
I just saw them today on Monster's website. For $250, it's a hard place for Monster to compete in. I'm waiting for others to buy it and throw up a review on how it compares to other $250 phones. If they ever drop $100.. I might consider them.- dC0m

Bassheads, Consider Denon c710
I liked my Denon C551K, how is the C710 compared to basshead IEMs such as the Monster Turbines? I know each have their own sound signature but since the C710 and MT are almost close in price (about $20 - $30) difference, how is the SQ and bass on these 2?- dC0m
