My ES7 has been my only portable headphone which I need these days. I looked at apuresound but their portable cable is not ready. What somewhat quick solutions are available for me right now?- fatmaneatschild

Audio Technica ATH-W10VTG Review & Pics
Mini review with laptop as source: The highs are not sparkly but in return they are smooth and rarely sibilant so that can be good/bad depending on your style of music. Mids are very unique . They are full and detailed but not upfront like many other ATs where vocals are shoved into your...- fatmaneatschild

Recabling Earbuds?
I just got the ath-cm7ti and think it is pretty good for portable kick around use. Shamefully, it uses a j-cord which I simply cannot get used to. I was about to consider the apuresound portable cable but realized it is discontinued and I have not experience in these sorts of things. Where can I...- fatmaneatschild

How Many Are Still Using 1st Gen. Shuffles?
I still love the musical signature and ease of use... better than sansa clip. I don't have to look at the screen and it easily plugs into a laptop without other wires.- fatmaneatschild

Removing AT pads?
I've tried to search this but couldn't find anything. I also couldn't figure out how to remove them myself and don't want to force anything. Does anyone know how or have links to removing audiotechnica pads for washing? fatmaneatschild- fatmaneatschild

Mini Review - PK1 vs OK2 vs EW9 unamped
I have been testing for an ultraportable solution that I can use without an amp. I refuse to use portable amps as they defeat the purpose of true portablility. Both the Yuins were tested with full foam pads. The sources are a very modest Ipod Shuffle 1st gen and Powerbook. PK1 - Even...- fatmaneatschild

Why don't women like Headphones
Ive had a friend that wanted to borrow my RS1 because she said they looked 'cute' on her.... which was true. Although this thread does generalize, I think the original poster is just having some fun :-b- fatmaneatschild

What do you think Opening Ceremony of Beijing Olympics
I caught it at a bar and liked most of it except for the tai chi/globe segments. Does anyone know if the fireworks footprint in the beginning was real or computer animation. I though I heard the announcers say something about CGI but not sure. It was loud in the bar.- fatmaneatschild

RS1 with 1st Gen Shuffle
I am very liberal when it comes to portable pairings such as this. I've even tried the huge k701 with the tiny iaudio 7 and it was fine. On sound quality alone, it seems like the shuffle is a perfect pairing to the rs1. Could you give it a quick test and give me your opinion please. Quote...- fatmaneatschild

RS1 with 1st Gen Shuffle
Yes but in comparison to other media players, doesn't the shuffle help the RS1 in this regard more than others? The shuffle has very controlled and non fatiguing highs correct?- fatmaneatschild

RS1 with 1st Gen Shuffle
For those with experience in this combination, I was wondering: The RS1 is known for their harsh highs( using bowls) with certain recordings and the 1g shuffle I believe is known to have subdued highs. Do you feel that this is a good combination which curbs the RS1's harshness while still...- fatmaneatschild
