Ugh!  I was hoping it would kill the sound so when I plug in my headphones, the speakers would go off.  Is there another comparable dac/amp in this price range that would cut the sound on the line out?

If you have pc speakers plugged into the line out and you plug in your headphones, will it cut the sound to the speakers?

How does CMSS sound in BF3 in comparison to dolby headphone?  I'm currently using an astro mixamp on my pc but am interested in other options.

The K601 will live!  I was going to replace them with some Sennheiser 598's but had 2nd thoughts.  I found someone to fix them and am going to have them recabled with dual entry.  It's cheaper to get them fixed then to buy a new set.  Plus I do really enjoy the sound on these.  I guess we will...

Yeah, I hear you but was probably going to invest in a different pair so would just put whatever I get towards that.  I mean are we talking like $60?  Less?  More?

I am only getting sound out of one side on my 601's now.  I started getting drop outs for a day or two when the cable moved and then finally it went out completely.  Anyone know if there is a market for selling them this way?  I saw a thread that showed a possible fix but it seems pretty complex...

Is anyone running their pc speakers through the compass? Would you just get a mini to rca cable and plug into the DAC out?

Pass on the D10. I have it and am returning it b/c it was only slightly better then my onboard sound. I'm contemplating the compass since it continues to be highly recommended.

I owned the AD700's for 3 weeks before I returned them. I couldn't get the proper fit with them. I recently got the K601's and love them. The comfort on them is perfect. I found the AD700's too lose and the pads above your ear sat further away then they did below. I also didn't like the 3d wing...
