Klipsch S4's have bit the dust......looking for suggestions < $100

Hey guys,   I'm in need of your expertise. My S4's have a short and the left ear is no longer playing. Basically, I'm looking for an upgrade with a similar sound signature and matched comfort. The Klipsch ear gels are an absolute dream.....so I'm a bit worried that I'm going to have a hard...

Totally insane quality for a totally insane price.....The Etymotic mc5 mini review.

How would you compare the MC5's to the Klipsch S4's? My S4's just shorted out in the left ear and I'm looking for something new, and perhaps an upgrade in quality.   Sorry if this has been answered.......

How deep to insert IEM, S4s in my case

For the S4's, I set the gels barely against my ear canal, just enough to plug them.....then gently twist back and forth until inserted. I don't put mine in very far.....just enough for them to stay firmly in place.

I'd go with the ne-7m's if you want a great combo of SQ and functionality for a low price.

My review of Klipsch Image S4.

I have about 60 hours of burn-in on the S4's now, and I can tell you that my original impressions have changed quite dramatically. Initially I thought these had: - Harsh highs (most noticeable with cymbals) - Slightly muddy, over-powering bass - Recessed vocal frequencies when overlapped...

First Time IEM Buyer, Advice Please

Like an above poster suggested for your purpose and budget, I would probably go with: a) Nuforce Ne-6/7m Fun, warm but not quite as warm as the S4's. Overall, I would say they're a good SQ for the $40 you would pay for them. And if they are your first IEM, no big loss if you don't like...

    Klipsch Image S4?

I actually just purchased the S4's this morning, out of the box I'm not impressed....but I hope after 100 hours of burn-in I'll be enjoying these. Right now the bass feels a touch boomy, the mids and highs lack clarity. It's almost like listening to music through a thin wall. I hope this...

    Maximum Value IEM

I know this may be beating a dead horse, but aside from the Klipsch S4's......at a CHEAP price, the Nuforce ne-6's can be had for $40. They're not 'giant killers,' but they do perform extremely well for their price level. There are multiple reviews around head-fi for the ne-7's (ne-6 w/ mic)...
