I'm stuck between this and a used Little Dot MK V...

If I have the day off, I'll be driving in from Scranton, PA with my gear:   Macbook M-Audio Super DAC 2496 Little Dot I+ HD595 and SR225   I'd love to hear some solid state amps.  I've seen a few LD MK V for sale and I've been debating if I would like the sound.

I won't be able to make anything in da Burgh until school starts up and I'll be back in State College.  Until then I'm stuck in Scranton or Philly (I bounce between the two).

Depending on the date I may be able to attend. Coming from Penn State.

I have both, and they are powered by a Little Dot I+ hybrid. The Grados are the clear winner for all things metal. Alterbridge, Bullet for my Valentine, Dream Theater all go to the SR225. (There are others, just those pop into my head right now) The HD595 though get used when I listen to Pink...

I got the 6AK5W with the stock op-amp and love them.

I love my Little Dot I+. The extra juice really helps, plus it also plays well with my Senn HD595s. The Senns are also low Z cans (50 ohm).

It's a shame since this is a great amp. Using it with my Grados right now, giving the Senns a break.

I'm back at school now with a new amp. Little Dot I+ hybrid. I have some new tubes and a new op-amp on the way.
