IEM for Gym: Tangle-free, isolating, sweat resistant with remote (Hidizs Sonata source)

Forgot to mention it must have volume control and a discrete design (so not sennheisers green black white offerings)

IEM for Gym: Tangle-free, isolating, sweat resistant with remote (Hidizs Sonata source)

Love my FiiO I5 but they're a bit heavy, tangly and don't isolate well for gym use. Must have volume control. Budget under $50. Going to be running them from a Hidiz Sonata II so can drive mostly anything!

FiiO F5- Aerospace Titanium Diaphragm In-ear Monitor

I guess you sacrifice a bit of bass depth/punch for a wider soundstage this way? Switched to blue tips from the spinfits in large, and sounds better now. Also tried them with the Audient ID14 amp/dac, and wow they came alive, going back to the B&O H6 2nd gen was boring - starting to get the...

FiiO F5- Aerospace Titanium Diaphragm In-ear Monitor

That might be just the explanation, don't have the issue with the same tips on the KZ ES4. Maybe just something to get used to

FiiO F5- Aerospace Titanium Diaphragm In-ear Monitor

Just got these, fit feels a bit loose in my ears, even with the largest tips, anyone else got that problem? Both with stock tips and Large spinfits.

FiiO BTR3-The World' First Bluetooth Headphone Amplifier, SBC/AAC/aptX/aptX LL/aptX HD/LDAC/HWA (LHDC)

Same for me, I've decided to return the ES100 for this reason, also the build quality and buttons are not great. Plus getting a Fiio F5 as I prefer the build quality and form factor over the ES4 (and IT01). My only gripe is that they seem a bit sub bass shy.

FiiO BTR3-The World' First Bluetooth Headphone Amplifier, SBC/AAC/aptX/aptX LL/aptX HD/LDAC/HWA (LHDC)

If you don't use EQ and don't have very hard to drive IEMs (KZ ES4, maybe Ibasso IT01 in the future), for active use think the BTR3 is the better choice due to the metal/glass build and metal clip? I'm not using balanced on the ES100 and it already sounds quite black to me, not sure there's much...

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

Ah yes of course, just need to figure out if longevity with sports is good. A metal shell would likely be more durable, I've had IEMs come apart at the seams.

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

Just ordered the Earsound as I can use it with my ZSA to test the form factor and see how it works for the gym, seems like it's about the best sounding BT device you can get! Nice! Why 2.5mm and not 3.5mm cable?

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

How are these for sports/gym use? Thinking of pairing them up with the Shure BT cables or the Earsound, which is likely better btw? Currently on KZ ZSA and the KZ upgrade bluetooth dongle.

What >$100 IEM + Bluetooth adapter combo for general use/sports with detachable cable? KZ ZSA + Bluetooth dongle not great

Currently using KZ ZSA and the upgraded bluetooth cable and it's a bit piercing, leaving a lot to be desired. Also the upgrade cable had to be modified to fit the ZSA. Looking for a one IEM to do it all solution that could be used both wirelessly and wired. Considering: IEMs Ibasso IT01 $99 -...

    Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread

What KZ are likely best for using the upgraded bluetooth adapter during workouts? I've heard the adapter is a bit low volume, so perhaps finding the most sensitive pair is key here? It's rated at 16 ohm. The contenders I've evaluated, info from aliexpress which I presume is the most official...

In ear as good as KZ-ATE S suitable for running with tangle resistant wires?

Love the sound and the relatively high sensitivity of the KZ-ATE S, allowing it to be driven to loud volumes by my phone (Pixel XL or Nokia N7 plus). Also love the price. But its wires are made out of glue, tangling very easily. Any options out there that are highly tangle resistant and sound...

Thanks! Pistons 3's are unavailable at the moment. The KZ ZS6 is also possible at 10 bucks over budget..

Best IEM < $20 with microphone for running in 2017?

Mic needn't be good, I just need to be able to change tracks on android. Not bothered by microphonics, my current Panasonic RP-HJE125 are fine. Mostly for thumping electronic music  Plus if they're somewhat tangle free. Real hard to find what's good among thousands of fake reviews...

Audio Technica ATH-M40x: What DAC/AMP under $150? Audioengine D1 vs SMSL SD793-II vs ODAC vs Cambridge DacMagic XS vs Nuforce uDac-3 vs Shiit Magni 2 or FULLA

My current system consists of the M40x and Klipsch Promedia 2.1, I need a DAC/AMP to connect to both of these. My use is a combination of enjoying music, mostly electronic spanning from ambient to techno, and mixing/music production in Ableton where a flat frequency response and high resolution...

Nuforce Udac + AKG 545 owner - any reason to upgrade my DAC/AMP? Audioengine D1 looks tempting!

Just wondering if anyone has experience with this, looking for a potential upgrade in the sub $200 range.   I was listening to Bjork's Pagan Poetry and cranked it all the way to max to feel Bjork really yelling into my ears, it almost worked but not quite.. hehe

Philips Fidelio X1 VS Creative Aurvana Live. Looking for the ultimate at home all rounder value!

So I did some more digging, the UE6000 can be had for 50 bucks refurbished. Otherwise the Brainwavz HM5 or equivalent can be had for $80 brand new! So in terms of value we are looking at CAL VS UE6000 VS HM5  If I had a silent room I'd def get the X1, but since I don't Im afraid Ill need...

But with the X1s I can still hear my AC.. I guess the AKG K550 might be a better contender, but maybe not as fun as the CALS is still 3 times the cost - anyone?

Philips Fidelio X1 VS Creative Aurvana Live. Looking for the ultimate at home all rounder value!

I've had a few headphones, mostly driven by my UDAC 2, but have also played around with various Chinese amps, from the top of my head: AKG 700 - Great soundstage, but too lacking in bass. Denon D2000 - Overall great, but a bit cumbersome and not the best value for money. Sennheiser HD600 -...
