Love my FiiO I5 but they're a bit heavy, tangly and don't isolate well for gym use. Must have volume control. Budget under $50. Going to be running them from a Hidiz Sonata II so can drive mostly anything!

Does it work with 3 button in-line controls? (Play pause, skip, volume)

I guess you sacrifice a bit of bass depth/punch for a wider soundstage this way? Switched to blue tips from the spinfits in large, and sounds better now. Also tried them with the Audient ID14 amp/dac, and wow they came alive, going back to the B&O H6 2nd gen was boring - starting to get the...

That might be just the explanation, don't have the issue with the same tips on the KZ ES4. Maybe just something to get used to

Just got these, fit feels a bit loose in my ears, even with the largest tips, anyone else got that problem? Both with stock tips and Large spinfits.

Same for me, I've decided to return the ES100 for this reason, also the build quality and buttons are not great. Plus getting a Fiio F5 as I prefer the build quality and form factor over the ES4 (and IT01). My only gripe is that they seem a bit sub bass shy.

If you don't use EQ and don't have very hard to drive IEMs (KZ ES4, maybe Ibasso IT01 in the future), for active use think the BTR3 is the better choice due to the metal/glass build and metal clip? I'm not using balanced on the ES100 and it already sounds quite black to me, not sure there's much...

Ah yes of course, just need to figure out if longevity with sports is good. A metal shell would likely be more durable, I've had IEMs come apart at the seams.

Just ordered the Earsound as I can use it with my ZSA to test the form factor and see how it works for the gym, seems like it's about the best sounding BT device you can get! Nice! Why 2.5mm and not 3.5mm cable?

How are these for sports/gym use? Thinking of pairing them up with the Shure BT cables or the Earsound, which is likely better btw? Currently on KZ ZSA and the KZ upgrade bluetooth dongle.

Love the sound and the relatively high sensitivity of the KZ-ATE S, allowing it to be driven to loud volumes by my phone (Pixel XL or Nokia N7 plus). Also love the price. But its wires are made out of glue, tangling very easily. Any options out there that are highly tangle resistant and sound...

Mic needn't be good, I just need to be able to change tracks on android. Not bothered by microphonics, my current Panasonic RP-HJE125 are fine. Mostly for thumping electronic music :ksc75smile: Plus if they're somewhat tangle free. Real hard to find what's good among thousands of fake reviews...

So I did some more digging, the UE6000 can be had for 50 bucks refurbished. Otherwise the Brainwavz HM5 or equivalent can be had for $80 brand new! So in terms of value we are looking at CAL VS UE6000 VS HM5  If I had a silent room I'd def get the X1, but since I don't Im afraid Ill need...
