A good upgrade from HRT Music Streamer Pro for under 1K?
Quote: I see, thanks for the clarification. True, and actually I'm already playing with the EQ for a while (in foobar), and I couldn't go back to flat. It's not useless at all lol, any suggestion helps. The thing is that I'm actually running bookshelf...- xxlap1xx

A good upgrade from HRT Music Streamer Pro for under 1K?
When you say transparent, do you mean the sound is realistic, detailed, and picks up every little things from the source (sorry for noobing you xD)? I gotta say that the MS-Pro sounds very good, especially the highs, and the details are awesome too. I think what I'm looking for is...- xxlap1xx

A good upgrade from HRT Music Streamer Pro for under 1K?
Hello my head-fi'ers, I have a limited knowledge when it comes to dedicated DACs, so please excuse my random noobness when I said something dumb . First of all, I know this forum is about head cans, and I'm running bookshelf speakers instead. But this is like the only forum where I can...- xxlap1xx

Yulong Sabre D18 thread: reviews, impressions, discussion (full review added 2/5)
What interconnect cables do you guys recommend? I've seen members saying that the balanced-output is better than rca for the D18. So I'm looking to get pair of xlr-rca interconnect cable that's not too expensive, and I'm wondering if you guys have any recommendations. This is what I found...- xxlap1xx

HRT Music Streamer II VS my current DAC
Quote: But the thing is that my hdmi can't carry anything over 24/44(or 48) tho.. but my optical out can do 24/192. So that's my problem. What makes hdmi good at carrying audios? I'd thought all digital outs are the same, it just depends on whether if the DAC is good at converting the...- xxlap1xx

XLR to RCA cable & sound quality
Hey guys, so I just purchased a used HRT Stramer Pro from ebay without knowing it uses Mini-XLR cables instead of RCA. My amplifier doesn't have XLR inputs so I have a problem here. I need to purchase a pair of Mini-XLR to RCA interconnect cables but I'm worry about is it's sound quality...- xxlap1xx

HRT Music Streamer II VS my current DAC
Quote: Yes, from my video card lol. I did a bit of research and the RX-A700 is pretty popular for budget built considering the power it has.- xxlap1xx

HRT Music Streamer II VS my current DAC
Quote: I see, I'll probably pickup a MSII+ first since it has many good reviews out there. But regarding about the NAD, it says "2 x 50W Continuous Power into 4 ohms and 8 ohms". Isn't this mean that it has 50W per side, left and right?- xxlap1xx

HRT Music Streamer II VS my current DAC
Quote: Thanks for the reply. I now have a better idea of which route I should take. I also wanted to ask, would it be better if I go for a MSII+ and still be using my current receiver for amplification? What I'm afraid of is the bottleneck I'll be getting from my current receiver. But...- xxlap1xx

HRT Music Streamer II VS my current DAC
Hey guys, I currently have a ~10 years old Yamaha RX-V800 receiver. And it's connected through my computer by toslink, so I'm using my receiver's built-in DAC for my audios. Anyways, I've been looking for some upgrades recently but I'm not sure if it'll consider as an upgrade or not. I'm...- xxlap1xx
