    Amp/DAC

DAC: http://schiit.com/products/bifrost   AMP: http://schiit.com/products/valhalla-2   I know that this amp will drive a set of HD800 headphones beautifully. I am pretty sure that Schiit also ships to Australia... So that shouldnt be an issue.

A sad day for me. I need some assistance in making a choice.

I am using a Schiit Audio DAC and headphone amp to a pair of Audio-Techinca ATH-A900X and output to the the Logitechs. The front channels were replaced with a pair of "Overnight Sensation" DIY monitors from Parts Express. Overall the sound quality is quite good.

Yeah, I upgraded the speakers with some DIY monitors from parts express. The subwoofer is a really nice unit and it does sound quite nice. I guess for the money it might be best to just repair the amplifier. It is very easy to tell when a capacitor lets go.

Well rebuilding the amp will cost only 20 - 40 USD.   I have never had any complaints with the speakers... 9 years is a long time to have a computer component... the only other computer component that I still have that is of that age is an IBM spring buckle PS/2 keyboard... but you could use...

A sad day for me. I need some assistance in making a choice.

Back in 2004 I purchased a set of speakers for my computer. After researching everything I could find and listening to them in the store I ended up buying a set of Logitech Z-2300 2.1 speakers. Now back in 2004 there were only really two choices for someone that was looking for a premium speaker...

Audio Technica ATH-A900X Discussion Thread (Formerly A-900X Review)

I could be incorrect on this... but it does look like the pads from the AD1000X should be a perfect fit... Those are not the pleather ones either... should be quite a bit more comfortable for those that do not like the feel of the pleather.

I was just looking at the Schiit basic systems the Magni and the Modi. $200 seems quite fair, especially after reading the reviews.     Any other suggestions?

Audio-Technica ATH-A900X: Impressions, Reviews, Mods, etc.

A friend of mine owed me $50 bucks...    Yesterday I was at this friends house and over in the corner of his desk was a pair of A900x cans... still in the box.   I asked my friend about them... he stated that he had purchased them a while back and that he didnt like them as well as he...

OK, So I have to say that I am new to the world of Audiophile headphones...   I was apparently under the misconception that headphones could not match the sound produced by a great set of speakers with a beautifully built amplifier.   A good friend of mine came by my house with a small...
