    My HE-300/EF3 Mod Project

Would tubes be the next best thing to the cap mod and would that alone make nice improvements or would the SD600 be a better option? I have no experience in modification.   Thanks, Wiggy

Just put my cancellation notice in for the Hifiman combo and will go with the proven cans. What mods or cables would you recommend for the HD600?   Thanks, Wiggy

Help with Headphone selection w/o amp $400? (Over the ear)

Guys,   Thanks for your advice! I just found a stellar on a combo set of HE300 and EF3 amplifier on HiFiman for $249 so I jumped on it. Hopefully, I didn't make a bad decision but surely I can cancel the order before shipping. Currently using Grado SR80 and some Shure 840, what you think?   Wig

    Budget amp for Shure 840

Gwarmi,   Doing tons of reading on amps and like Fourbier HT1, Schitt Valhalla and Woo Audio 3 or 6 but hear the Fournier HT1 is hard to beat at $179, so I might get that over the HF2. What do you think?   Thanks, Wiggy

    Budget amp for Shure 840

I have no idea about headphone amps or price, just looking for a bang for the buck unit that will improve the sound of my Grado 80 and Shure 840. I'd love a Woo 6 if I could find a second hand one.   Wiggy

Guys,   I just purchased the Shure 840 to replace my Grado SR80's. Looking for a full size home headphone amp that will compliment the 840 at a budget price? I listen on to classical and instrumental gospel, need 3-4 choices to choose from.   Thanks, Wiggy

Forgot one more important note. Will I give up soundstaging by going with Shure over Grado?   Wiggy
