Pioneer SA-6300 any good?
Get the headphones you want or like! Headphones sound quality only improve once in a while, when there are breakthrough in engineering. AKG 701, 702 etc... are still the same as it was 3 years ago. Amp seems "to improve" every few months or so. This past year, there has been a lot new and...- vuntruong

Pioneer SA-6300 any good?
20 W is all you need. Should be able to drive the headphones fine. look up the service manual from hifiengine, and check DC offset. give it a try to see if you like the sounds,- vuntruong

Calling All "Vintage" Integrated/Receiver Owners
Quote: Sounds like a lot of work! How many capacitors? maybe working on a Kenwood kr-9600 is a PITA or consume a lot of time. The idea is to recap before something goes wrong and maybe improve on SQ by adding poly caps where they would help. So.. its really depends on the amp. If...- vuntruong

Apple remote for Decibel 1.0 ( AyreWave)
Anyone knows how to get apple remote to work with Decibel? I've tried the patch or plugins posted on computer audiophile, but it did work. The music would start, and then stop after 3 seconds or so.- vuntruong

An upgrade in my system. Need help
Start with the headphones. Get the best (size, comfort, sounds) one can afford. Then, figure out the amp and the source (or dac). I don't think you should get a tube amp for movies, and TV. I'm sure Senns 650 is prob better for your listening habit. I don't think any headphones can give...- vuntruong
