Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

They definitely seem like an interesting budget choice. How did you find the build quality on them? I know the case looks a little flimsy, but can’t tell a lot about the iems from the reviews. I’m not the biggest fan of the AirPod look myself, but these don’t look too revolting to me. Sound...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I’m amazed by how well the G1 seem to be holding their own against much more expensive sets like the E8s. Either the Havits are punching well above their weight, or we have a mediocre first gen run of TWEs, perhaps even a combination of the two. Has anyone else had any experience with the...

    New Beyer DT1350

So I just received an open box of 1350s and they sound excellent. I'm a little apprehensive about putting too much pressure anywhere, though...for some reason, I don't feel like this is the kind of headphone I can throw around.     I did have a question for owners, though - the opening...

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

Quote: I'm bringing up an old argument, perhaps, but in no way do these stack up to the fx700s. I've owned both, and the JVCs are in another league.

REVIEW: Yulong Sabre A18 Reference headphone amp

So, the A18 is here today. Initial impressions: out of the box, very detailed and smooth. Any hiss present on bad recordings is apparent, but not distracting. Some warmth with the D18 combo. The HD800s sound very nice, but a little sibilant. I'm hoping this will go away after burn in. Also, I...

REVIEW: Yulong Sabre A18 Reference headphone amp

I would think so...the amp really sounds incredible with my LCD3s and the HD800s. Hell, I'm running stock tubes and I still don't have the "hot treble" on the hd800s, unless I'm running "hot" recordings. I still have to roll better tubes (broke as sin after the A18), but I'm sure things will get...

REVIEW: Yulong Sabre A18 Reference headphone amp

Just reminding you boys: have about $200 of disposable money for tubes, so if you can guide me, this goes into the guide!   Cheers anyways!

REVIEW: Yulong Sabre A18 Reference headphone amp

Well, I've had the LD VI+ for about two months now, so ask away! If you want comparisons, the A18 should be here in 4-5 days.

REVIEW: Yulong Sabre A18 Reference headphone amp

Well, as it goes, My equipment for testing is an LCD3 and an HD800 with the D18 for the DAC and the A18 vs the LD MK VI+ (stock) - all connected via balanced cables for the amp. Will post results soon. If someone can help me with tube selection for the LD, I could also do a rolled LD VI+ vs A18...

    The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread

Its not even that bad...take a silver oil based paint sharpie to it and any chips disappear. Can't tell the difference, unless you examine under a bright light.

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote:   I suppose the only reliable way to determine that is to do an A/B with another pair. There will be differences with pairs from even the same batch, just hard to believe that the variation could be night and day. I know Audeze has an acceptable margin of deviation, but wide...

    New Audeze LCD3

Quote: I still terribly itch to hear the Staxs. Just gives me more incentive to visit family in the "Great White North", so I can have a listen (note: family doesn't hold as much value :P).     The headphones do (they really do :D).

    The Stax thread (New)

Quote:   I know, it's a generation in terms of performance, but leave some room for those of us who have not had the chance to hear the stat smoothness :D. Quote: I've been kinda temperamental about the comparison as well...not quite ready to sell off all of my gear, and not quite...
