FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
Alright, so resetting it didn't seem to take care of the problem. I'm really hoping that it's just this laptop though, because that'd be a shame to have it go bad after not even a year.- V00DEW

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
Actually, I totally didn't even think of that. Doing this wont cause any major changes that I'll have to reconfigure though, correct?- V00DEW

FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
Hey guys, I own an E17 which I used with a pair of HD 598s. I'm currently away from my home for few months and have been using a laptop (instead of my normal desktop setup) with these. However, since I started using the setup with the laptop, I've noticed if I leave the amp plugged in via usb...- V00DEW

Connecting Fiio e17 to Turntable
I'm probably going to just return the TT. I really should have done my research before buying it, as I didn't realize the investment and work required for little payoff with vinyl.- V00DEW

Connecting Fiio e17 to Turntable
Okay so I just went out and bought this turntable from my local record shop, but I'm having trouble trying to figure out how I can connect it to my headphone amp. The turntable is a Numark PT-01 USB and my amp is a Fiio e17 which is connected to my Sennheiser 598s. I can plug the headphones into...- V00DEW

Fiio e17 for HD 598?
Quote: Yeah you're probably right. For instance, I have The Beatles' remastered discography in stereo (all FLAC), and I've noticed that on albums like "Abbey Road" have a much more noticeable hiss than albums such as "Rubber Soul", which sounds near perfect (even at max unamped volume). ...- V00DEW

Fiio e17 for HD 598?
So I just got a pair of Sennheiser HD 598s, and I gotta say...I'm absolutely loving the sound! As an upgrade from Bose, these have been amazing for me so far. Anyways, I know it's recommended to pair these with an amp/dac in order to drive them to their full potential. I currently am using...- V00DEW

Looking for Suggestions on Upgrade ($250 Budget)
Quote: Would the audio quality suffer enough to warrant a purchase of a DAC/soundcard when I purchase the 598s? Or is it something I can invent in later? The reason I ask is that purchasing a decent DAC/soundcard will probably be exceeding my budget by $100+ if I am to purchase the 598s.- V00DEW

Looking for Suggestions on Upgrade ($250 Budget)
Quote: I listen to mostly instrumental music, though I do listen to most other genres frequently. I don't listen to music with heavy-bass, so limited bass isn't a problem. Open back headphones would be fine, as I live by myself, and like I said, I don't plan on taking them out...- V00DEW

Looking for Suggestions on Upgrade ($250 Budget)
Hey everyone, My pair of Bose (yes I know they're not good headphones, but they were given to me as a gift) recently broke, and I'm looking to upgrade. My knowledge of audio is extremely limited, but I'm definitely open to learning more. I currently have a budget of $250, and would...- V00DEW
