The new Cowon J3 has micro sdhc slot (from audible pdf)

I love Cowon (currently have the D2 and have had it for years) but I wish for something of truly high-capacity. I would gladly pay for a new player if Cowon started playing in the realm of the hi-cap iPods and such. Lossless audio takes up some room. Maybe SDXC will be the answer... Love the...

    What were your first headphones?

A broken half-pair of some horrible supra-aural Sony headphones I found in a soccer field as a small child. I was fascinated.

How many of you have ever been to a classical concert?

I heard a quite a bit of quality live classical music growing up. I would be surprised if the feel of the actual unamped voices and instruments of a live performance could be reproduced by any kind of equipment. VERY impressive.

Pico DAC distortion - please help

Update: Back to being horrible, with pops, hissing and actual blank-outs in the sound. After playing for a while (not just being turned on, but actually playing music) some of the distortion goes away, oddly. I feel stupid because I realize I should have posted this in "computer audio"...

Pico DAC distortion - please help

Hey guys, A couple hours ago I received my Pico amp/DAC in the mail. I plugged the DAC in and started listening to AKG K702s through Media Player Classic. All filters disabled and playing uncompressed audio FLACs. At first there was an intermittent hissing in one ear and then the other. Now...

    Open -vs- Closed Cans???

Let me just start this by saying I am not an expert. I just made this decision recently myself, though, so I thought some of my input might be useful to you. I moved to open 'phones from various IEMS due to the fact that people say that open-styled headphones create less distortion, have a...
