This new pair I bought off Ebay for $48 was too much? My ears beg to differ. http://www.ebay.com/itm/251285252466?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 The pair I reference in my previous post were white (as the OP asked for), sound great, and within the $80 budget. ...- Tundra tunes

Are there any headphones that feel like subwoofers?
Skullcandy skullcrushers will FEEL like subwoofers. You can pick them up cheap from ebay. Crap sound, and crap build, but they will buzz your head like subwoofers for awhile.- Tundra tunes

Sennheiser HD558
Quote: Refurb means it was returned and repaired, or it was returned and checked out to be as good as new. Dakmart is listed as an authorized Sennheiser dealer according to the Sennheiser USA website, so you can probably be assured that you aren't buying a fake. I'm not sure but I'd think...- Tundra tunes

Anybody have experience with the Sennheiser HD 239's?
Well, the Sennheiser HD 518's are listed as one of headroom.com's 10 best headphones. Their price should fall in line with your budget. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VI32xi_QVc My impression of my new 239's is really great. I'd put them a hair behind my M50's for sound quality. ...- Tundra tunes

Getting first pair of headphones, maybe ath-m50 but wondering about others? suggestions please?
M50's will sound just fine without an amp, I've got the LE's. But since you like some bass heavy music you could easily add a good bass boost amp and have your mind blown with any decent cans. If you buy the white M50's you will probably not regret it.- Tundra tunes

The black M50's are available for $125 at Amazon. I have some and I love them with a Fiio E10. http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATHM50S-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B004ZG9TMA/ref=pd_cp_MI_0 If you do Ebay you can pick up a Klipsch Image One set that sounds pretty good for...- Tundra tunes

Portable amp for XB700's
Amping the XB700's might not give you the clearer results you are hoping for. For $100 you might be able to find some Creative Aurvana Live! cans and add an inexpensive amp later, like the JDS labs cmoybb.- Tundra tunes

Can I amp the Audio Technica M50 to be as bassy as beats pro?
I have the bass heavy Sony XB500's and also the Ath M50's. The XB's have more bass, but the mids are so muddied up that you might as well be listening to your music under water. I'd opt for the Ath M50's and amp them with a bass boost JDS labs cmoy ($60). They claim to almost double the...- Tundra tunes

Anybody have experience with the Sennheiser HD 239's?
I just ordered a pair myself, I can't wait to try them out. After ordering them I found out that acoustically they are the same as the hd 238's, the only change was a cosmetic upgrade. So if you find reviews on 238's you should have the same experience. 238's can be had for dirt cheap at a...- Tundra tunes
