If the metal is loose then it is about to break off, you don't want that tip breaking off in the source. Sounds like a good excuse to mod your headphone for a removable cable ;)- threi

superlux hd668b vs Takstar Hi2050
I own both and prefer the Takstar Hi-2050. Better build quality (HD668B is kinda flimsy but really light) Takstars also have better pads (HD668B stock pads are pretty stiff) In terms of SQ they are both pretty detailed, but the Superlux can sound a bit harsh when you turn it up, and...- threi

If you have both the Hi2050 and Pro80 you can switch the headbands on them, and use the longer one on whichever takstar you like more. I tried it for a bit myself but went back because right now i prefer the Pro80. Did look pretty cool though:- threi

[Review] Superlux HD681 EVO
Takstar Hi2050 has less bass than the EVOs, slightly more forward mids, and slightly less harsh treble (but around the same ballpark). Takstars are much more solidly built, and also more comfortable (If you get the updated version; the older version has a short headband and will be too small for...- threi

Looking for £50 (amazon UK only) over ear headphones any recommendations.
You really need to stop spreading this crap all over this forum. I have the Superlux HD681EVO, Takstar HI2050s and Takstar Pro 80s and they are all very good value for the money, they all sound much better than their price tag would lead you to believe. Just because the sound signature of one...- threi

One thing i forgot to mention about these headphones: If you have issues with a "loose" headband, that is easily remedied by just wrapping a piece of electrical tape around the clip inside the headband mechanism. Makes the adjustment stiffer, and "clickier" as well.- threi

TOPPING NX1 Portable Headphone Amplifier Impressions Thread
I do get occasional popping/crackling if the amp is near my phone. Moving the phone away fixes it though. The thing is surprisingly sensitive to cell/radio waves.- threi

Out of curioisity: did your pro 80s have a coiled or straight cable? I say this because my hi2050 headband, like you experienced, is a very small and tight fit, while my (straight-cabled) pro 80 has a much larger headband. The earcup clamps are very clearly larger comparing the two. I believe...- threi

Chinese / Asian Brand Info Thread (Headphones, IEMs, Amps, DACs)
I agree to an extent. My modded 681 EVO definitely holds its own when I A/B them to the Takstars. I think they are about on par on terms of sound quality but what people may prefer depends on what sound signature they like more. More V shaped (681 EVO) or U shaped (Pro 80). That and build...- threi

Good headphones for gaming
Well it suffers from the limitations of a closed headset (long-term comfort, smaller soundstage, less "airy" highs) but overall I think its the better headphone. Great build quality too.- threi

Good headphones for gaming
The HyperX Cloud is a rebrand of the Takstar Pro 80 though. In terms of sound quality I think it's better than pretty much every Superlux model I own (681 EVO, 668B) but its fully sealed instead of semi-open.- threi

Man the takstars improve in comfort so much with the HM5 pads (and they are pretty comfortable to begin with) Bass and lower mids to seem to be a little recessed now but not significantly (it still is a lot more present than the Hi2050). Soundstage seems a little bigger now though, which is...- threi
