I really liked using the E10 with my Sennheiser PXC 350s, so I'm thinking that the E17 would be a great combo since you need a portable amp as well as the dac/amp combo when you're on your laptop.  Both very small units.  I would definitely get the E17 if I commute.  I don't think the PXC's need...

I thought the sound quality of the Sennheiser PXC 350 was pretty good for a noise cancelling headphone but there was noticeable "white noise" in a quiet environment.  The QC15 had far superior noise cancelling ability but the PXC 350 with a small amp had much better sound and tighter bass.  Also...

I think the CLAS would have been wasted just sitting on my living room table not to mention it's quite a bit more.   I ended up going with the Cambridge Audio iD100 that was available through a local retailer.  I'm totally loving it, it's the perfect solution to my problem.  It's not as cost...

Does the Wadia 170i come with a remote?  I saw a picture of it with a remote somewhere.  That might be nice to skip songs.
