I used some AudioQuest Flx X y splitters in my setup and No I cannot hear a difference.

The 52mm length is where it needs to be for technics but the weight is a little heavy with the pnp headshell. SH-4 with a 2M Cartridge is 16.6g vs 2M PNP being 23g.   That's almost the weight of two 2M cartridges on a SH-4 headshell.
