SENNHEISER INVITES YOU TO BE PART OF HISTORY - (Seeking participants)
I have to say Sennheiser has wisdom that most other headphones manufacturers don't have - comfort first. If a headphone isn't comfortable first of all, then the rest doesn't matter. I've never been fully satisfied by any other brand. My favorite headphone was the now discontinued HD485...- TAF94

HD555 improvement?
Since the news of HD558 becoming available soon I'm considering buying one. However, a few years ago I bought H555 and it was so laid back and undynamic I returned it the same day I bought it. The weirdest part was during musical crescendos it was just so plain flat. I much prefered HD485...- TAF94

USPS is THE WORST Carrier service on earth
My last item I sold on ebay to someone in New York somehow just disappeared. Six weeks gone by and buyer still hadn't received it. Post office official tells me it was either "lost or stolen". How does that happen exactly? USPS mail truck is held up by group of armed robbers? Or package falls...- TAF94

RIP Sennheiser HD 485
Sennheiser says the HD485 has been replaced by the HD4XX series. Sadly all of the HD4XX series are closed cans. Everyone should email Sennheiser and tell them to bring back HD485. ...bring it back in silver or black.- TAF94

Sony S review on CNET
Well I just returned my Sony S545 to Best Buy for a few disappointing reasons. I've owned an A818 for the past two years for comparison. The new S series d-pad is ergonomically inferior to previous models. On previous models the d-pad was slightly grooved and the middle button was higher so you...- TAF94

Thinking of getting some Sennheiser HD485s
Get HD485. I've used it with my pcdps and it's excellent imo. I've owned SR60 3 times and now loathe mid/full size supra-aurals that smash your ears and make the sides of your head sweat. I also think the SQ is better with HD485.- TAF94

follow-up to old senn
Well I've had HD485 twice and it absolutely was not crap. It's possible you have a lemon. Maybe try HD580 but it does need an amp.- TAF94

HD485 vs. HD515 vs. HD555
HD485 is far more dynamic and fun for music than HD555 imo.- TAF94

Sennheiser PX 100 Upgrade with Similar Sound
If you don't like HD595 you should try HD485. I like it much more for portable players without an amp.- TAF94

Sony S610 review, and a bit of Zen Stone review too...
How does the sony Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE) that restores the higher sound frequencies work out? Does it sound like lossless/cd? Or can you still tell that it's compressed audio?- TAF94
