I've heard that the newer revisions don't sound as audiophile as the older ones.   Also,  there are the ones made in China to look out for which you don't want.

today the right channel of my k712pro went kaput :'(    I'm so very pissed,  they were great cans.   Does anybody know how can I fix it or something?   I wouldn't mind buying them again but I want the ones with the old revision made in Austria  (like mine) and not the newer artificial sounding...

take it from someone who knows,  the k712 are notorious in needing lots of current to be driven properly.  That's why it sounds best when used with tube amps.

what I meant was one fully assembled with the mini xlr and 3.5 connector.   that's an incredible value for 10 feet silver plated cable.  If only I had the skills to put it together myself.

I want a cable that sounds better than stock with the same length but I don't want to pay something ridiculous for it.   Silver would have been optimal but they're way out my price range for 10 feet.
