The J$ Beyer pads did the trick for me.  Thanks to Wayne for taking on the non-envious role of retailer.

Trying to be somewhat objective here .  Received the J$ Beyer pads from Wayne (1st class service, thank u very much).  Been burning in the 400's with some (A......Hem) restrained AC/DC (read that as 12 o'clock on the Schiit M&M stack).  Working without a net (nylon stocking).  Cans are sounding...

They were slightly loose on my head initially, but adding the j$ beyers and the headband cushion make them fit quite snug.  I had to bend the headband a bit with the new pads, but it fits perfectly now.   Got the J$ on the way thanks to Wayne.   Is the headband cush from sennheiser or...

LOL.   I've been called "thick-headed" but that doesn't apply to my actual head size.  The 400's fall off my head if I move to adjust something adjacent to me.  Hoping the J$ pads will give a bit more clamp pressure.

I've read very good things about Jason & their customer service.     I unplugged from the back of the Magni and back in and now cannot replicate the issue.  I'll keep it as is for now.  If it rears its head again, i'll contact Jason.  Reminds me of the old joke   Patient: Doc my arm...

Loving the M&M stack with HD-650's and HE-400's.  Power input on the back of the Magni is tempermental.  Slightest touch and get snap, crackle and pops.
