If you could give me an extremely brief pro/con of each that would really help me to answer your question.  I'm relatively new to this and don't have a particularly musical background so please forgive me.  I'm guessing signal stability would give you consistency but might take some of the fun...

Thank you very much for the feedback!   I ended up selecting the HE-500 w/ Pan Am and am very pleased so far.   Anyone w/ the Pan Am have any suggestions on the best tubes?   Cheers!
