I am currently listening to the HE400 using my DX50 & feel its sufficient to power them, but many people suggest that it isnt. Am I missing/hearing wrong? 

I'll try the option you suggested H2O, its probably the last thing left to try.    I've contacted mp4nation anyway, lets see where it goes from here. I'll keep you guys posted on the service provided by mp4nation & ibasso too. 

Yes I tried different cables, tried factory reset too. unfortunately nothing works..i bought this from mp4nation..hope they help!

Thanks for the reply. Itried all those things but it still won't charge. Even using the normal a/c. I even tried with a spare battery. maybe the charging unit is spoilt?

I have an additional comment, the cable connectors dont seem to be aligned properly, is this normal?        Also, I hope i've connected the cables properly? Sorry I'm a complete noob..  

I finally received my HE400's today! I didnt expect them to be so large, but thankfully are quite comfortable.    I am using it directly from my dx50 on high gain & 200 volume. The volume is enough but I'm not sure the power is enough?    Also, I ordered velour pads along with them, but...

I purchased a HE400 finally from the head-direct site. Hope it pairs well with my DX50 as I've no budget left for any amps :D

haha, thankfully i cant yet tell the difference between dx50 & other more expensive / a few cheaper DAPs/DACs. I imagine this gets more expensive from here! 

Thank you all for the suggestions!    I've ordered the HE400 after a lot of consideration..and now I cant afford anything else :P    a DX50, B&W P3 (portable use) & HE400 = break the bank! 

So the dx90 is definitely much better than dx50, including the amp section. what is the best way to burn in the dx90? thanks all

Also is the amp section good enough to drive big cans like Beyer dt990 or he400?

I am planning to buy a dx90 and sell my dx50. is the dx90 that much better than the dx50?
