i just know personally that silver or silver coated copper sounds much better/clearer than straight copper cables/wires ... have listened to many many cables on various set ups/rigs and heard the difference . don't try to tell me otherwise, haha .

also - the SA-5000 is really really fast .. like , almost electro-stat fast ...honest . they are for sale, as I say ... step right up ... I have a big ugly hospital bill that I need to pay ... thus, why I'm selling them ... nothing wrong with them at all and no scratches or anything at all ....

Actually they do have pretty intense bass punch, depending on what source material you're working with and what the SA-5000 is plugged into ... I am selling it yes, any takers ?!

have not heard Senn.800's nor Denon 7000 nor R10's but have heard some electro-statics and they sound brilliant/lush but overall I will say the Sony SA-5000 is best headphone my ears have had the pleasure of hearing with an overall music genre collection ... and reasonable/sane price at that ....

Might I suggest you NOT get into tubes if you're mostly listening to low-end heavy bassy kinds of music and electronica ? I do have some experience with tubes and they are great for lighter fare like jazz and classical and female vocal-oriented guitar-y music but not for crunchier / heavier...

I might have a Compass and high end power cable for it, for sale very soon ...
