CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest
The T2 is NOT bass deficient, it's just very hard to achieve a working seal due to the shape of the stems and housing. Put large sized Sony hybrids or MH1 tips on it and you will get plenty of bass with good extension.- SkiesOfAzel

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
The HD58X doesn't have the HD700, the HD660s and certainly not the HD559 drivers. It's a new driver that may share some similarities with the one in the HD660s but also has significant differences. The new driver offers very good bass extension for a relatively low distortion, is generally very...- SkiesOfAzel

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
Let's say you increase the perceived dynamic range in the high mid area, by raising that area and lowering the bass on your headphone's EQ. Wouldn't you say that the resulting sound will give the impression of more apparent detail?- SkiesOfAzel

Massdrop x Sennheiser HD 58X Jubilee Review & Measurements
The Yoga CD-880 (Fischer Audio FA-003/NVX XPT100/Brainwavz HM5/ Studiospares M1000/Lindy HF-100) sounded similar to my HD600 from what i remember. Not as smooth or refined, but If you are looking for an alternative for office use, it's an option you should consider. It's a very comfortable pair...- SkiesOfAzel

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
Isolation with the GR07 is above average, it's just that the tips that come with it don't vacuum seal due to their material. The MA750 is a very different sounding iem that is far from flat or neutral. IMO you can't go wrong with the GR07 as far as sound is concerned, it's considered a...- SkiesOfAzel

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
I haven't listened to the GR07x in person, but by looking at its FR graph i am pretty sure it uses the exact same driver as the rest of the GR07s, with a different tuning. Vsonic tried to make it sound less bright by damping the region by a few db. This had the side effect of also eliminating...- SkiesOfAzel

VSONIC GR07 Impressions Thread
It is certainly smoothed, there is no doubt about that. But smoothed or not, the deltas between dips and peaks should not be seriously affected. Of course, graphs by manufacturers tend to be very unreliable and i agree that a $600 price tag can only by justified by flawless performance.- SkiesOfAzel

Did you even bother reading the db? Those peaks and dips you describe are less than 5 db, more likely around 3. If we also take into account that one peak is at the bass region (which needs compensation anyway), this iem ought to sound really, really flat. If it's diffuse field compensated...- SkiesOfAzel

Solid graphene diaphragms would need a relatively huge amount of energy to be moved because of the material's hardness.- SkiesOfAzel

I haven't listened to the Tenmak line so can't help you there. I would swap the 808 with the BK50 for the more controlled bass and the more linear treble. As for the ****, it's surprisingly capable for metal for a v-shaped phone, but it completely unravels when trying to reproduce some...- SkiesOfAzel

He also added a touch of bass to it . There is a reasonable explanation for all this though, he is not getting a proper seal. While the 4in1 mids are recessed, they are not bad for a 1+1 hybrid.- SkiesOfAzel

Lol no worries, it's not like basshead is a dirty word, or is it ? I tried spiral dots and mh1 tips but i got the best results with UE double flanges. Wearing them over the ear improves the seal more than any tip could though. Still the bass rolloff is too much with any kind of...- SkiesOfAzel

I don't hate them, they have their good points. If you value sound-stage above all else they are great. But i am not a basshead and these are not neutral. A neutral phone has a linear fr plus a few psychoacoustic compensations. In order for the Hi905 to fit in that description it must...- SkiesOfAzel

I actually like the XE800 better than both the GR07 CE and BE, because it sounds more neutral. But on the downside, while its bass is good for critical listening, it's not always enough for when you are commuting. Modding solves that issue but you will end up with an IEM that has a different...- SkiesOfAzel

The XE800 has a little more bass than the GR07CE but unless you A/B them you will think it actually has less due to psychoacoustics. The XE800 has moderate diffuse field compensation that the GR07 lacks, so it makes the bass sound a little recessed which is not. The only real failing of the...- SkiesOfAzel
