All I had to do was replace the plug. Second time I've had to do that but the failings of the first replacement may have been the result of less than perfect soldering.

Cable on the fischers is not removable, in fact I have recently been having problems with the aux plug and I am not sure how I will be able to fix it.

Now I am jealous as the leather on those looks much higher quality and looks a lot more comfortable. Do you ever feel like the speakers are touching your ears with those?

Thanks, I'll have to try those, as the current pads just aren't giving me much isolation at all.

Has anyone found a way to get better isolation with these? I've used them on bus trips and it's terrible, the sound of the interstate and people talking around me make it hard to enjoy music unless I turn it up to ear-hurting volumes. Has anyone found a way to increase isolation or have some ideas?

With a headphone that is already somewhat warm and colored, would you recommend a relatively neutral amp like the E11/E10 or a colored amp like Cmoy BB?

The fischers don't leak much(if at all), but isolation is not very good, I can hear myself tapping the desk with the volume between mid and low. Also, depending on if your head is more rectangular and smaller ear to ear they will be less comfortable and  probably seal a little less. 

Also wanted to throw out Nirvana- Nevermind and if you liked Jimi Hendrix, you may like Funkadelic, my favorite album being Maggot Brain.

I really have no idea how good that one you found on ebay is, I'm sorry but I'm not very experienced with amps, I couldn't say for sure.

If you want to keep it cheap, the fiio E6 is really your only choice for a portable amp. Unless you want to move up to a Cmoy or a E11, both of which cost at least $20 more than the E6.
