with EQ , u can boost treble enough to listen at reasonable volumes...

believe me , i was the whole time strictly against EQ´ing until i bought the Um2´s. Absolutly horrible without EQ , beautyfull with EQ Seal wont be the matter when its being described as "dark sound" since then you got plenty of bass..

try this: Eq them (with more then 5 bands but this is basic "line") this way: -4db 100hz -11db 800hz -8db 3000hz 0db 12000hz this should be a basic line in your EQ , then stick the Um2 in your ear and enjoy i dont like the "normal" non EQ´ed sound of the Um2´s , but after this...

I own my Westone´s not so long so i still use the original ones.. But another question... Someone knows where u get some Tips (comply --> westone) here in germany? Since i dont wanna pay shipping from USA for some crappy tips

just if someone wonders... straight out of the Zen Xtra (maybe a few will know) the Um2´s dont have ANY hiss and sound absolutly great (after Eq´ing)... I think really the EQ changes more then any tips will...
