I thought this was an AUDIO site, not a political one (and I have a bridge to sell to anyone who doesn't think the global warming...oops, climate change...issue is purely a political one!). Please don't clutter this site with stuff that has absolutely nothing to do with audio!

I'm not a DIYer at all. If I were to buy the d5000 do you know if anyone out there would do the mod for me?

Eager to hear your reviews on the DH 5000; I've read very little about them but it's been good.

Thanks for reply. You raised a good clarifying point. I've added comment to original post indicating that portability isn't really important. In addition, I've decided to steer away from active noise canceling.

I've determined that IEMs ain't for me but I DO need sound isolation as I do some of my listening in airplanes, airports, etc.. Trying to find best closed cans for under $700. Using mac/lossless source and on list for pico. Suggestions? (Portability not important...just good cans!) Thanks
