I have a question: Sound quality-wise, is the KGSS a good match for headphones that aren't the Omega2? The ESP950 and Lambda phones mainly. Your ~$500 Stax options that are an upgrade from the HD600 are SR-Lambda Normal bias ($300), SR-001 portable earphones ($250) and maybe the SR-202 ($350).  You should be able to eventually find the former two in the used forum.   As for amping: Finding an SRM-1 amp for SR-Lambda/SR-202 might...
