Sony SBH80: Wireless to the Next Level: Review

Thanks. Would love foam but can't support Comply's crap, planned obsolescence business model - sell overpriced, extremely undurable products. If only they'd sell Shure olive quality foam...

Sony SBH80: Wireless to the Next Level: Review

Thanks. Yea, I've noticed they're pretty resilient. Just looking for something to protect them when in a backpack, car glove box etc. Also, when home I can't just leave them on my side table because my cats will chew the cords - - a serious first world problem.

Sony SBH80: Wireless to the Next Level: Review

Just got these and am pretty impressed. Anyone tried alternate tips? In particular, any tips that provide better isolation than the stock tips? Not a fan of Comply tips - any other foam comparable to the Shure olives that fit these?   Also, any suggestions on a case for these. Kind of an...

    HiFiMAN RE-400 Review

    Hifiman IEM's: RE-400 and RE-600

Re the 262 vs 400: Coming from my beloved and now broken RE0, which is more similar as a replacement? The 262 can still be found for $119, the 400's are $99. Or would I be better off grabbing some of the last RE0s for $79? (Kind of pissed my pair waited until after the H-D $49 blowout to break.)

Just want to chime in to say it's so sad to see these being phased out. Sure wish they'd follow Etymotic Research's example of selling beloved lines indefinitely.

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

Sorry, I've got no secret suppliers... The best I could find using Teh Great Gizoogle is between $15 and $20 depending on shipping/tax for 5 pair. Fortunately, the olives do last for quite a while. With good care and some occasional minor cleaning a pair can be used for several months, so that 5...

Try some decored Shure olive tips. The depth will be just right and they'll stay put.

Jodiuh, I went from the 6i's to the RE0s -- better than a good solid upgrade. They're much better in every respect.

Pianist, thanks for the clarification on 'boomy' -- makes more sense now. Re 'crosstalk,' as I said up-thread that was news to me. I assumed this wouldn't occur in a digital environment. Re detail/clarity, I understand your point but I may agree to disagree. I agree that some players when...
